Tim Sharpe is an adjunct faculty member in the post-graduate Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine program at the University of Western States where he teaches sports nutrition, co-teaches the capstone project class, and assists in the gastroenterology class. Tim has a doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine and an MS in human nutrition and functional medicine. He currently serves as the head nutritionist at the Institute for Human Kinetics. He published his first peer reviewed paper in 2016 and has multiple original research projects ongoing which will likely (probably) get published sometime in the future. His work has been honored by ResearchGate with an assortment of achievements including: most read Author in the United States, and most read publication in the following areas: Medicine, Nutrition and Dietetics, Sports Medicine, and Physiology. Tim’s passion lies in the realm of critical thinking (and guitars).
